The Regional Initiative for Inclusive Recycling is a program launched in 2011 by the Multilateral Investment Fund (FOMIN), the Water and Sanitation Initiative at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Coca-Cola Latinamerica, Avina Foundation, the Latin-American Recyclers Network (RED-Lacre) and PepsiCo. It promotes the integration of informal recyclers in Latin America and the Caribbean, into the formal recycling market.

Through the IRR, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) arranged a horizontal training workshop for the recyclers in Amatitlán, Guatemala. The workshop focused on the recycler’s organization.
